Installation Guidelines
Tuffa’s fire-protected oil tanks offer a safe and compliant alternative to traditional fire barriers. However, installation must be performed by a Competent Person or approved by a building inspector following a site-specific risk assessment.
Minimum Installation Distances:
- 30-minute fire protection: At least 300mm from buildings/structures (600mm where access is required)
- 60-minute fire protection: Allows internal installation in garages or outbuildings. Must be placed at the lowest level and at least 300mm from walls/structures (600mm where access is required)
